LAVA: The Lunar Adaptive Vegetation Archive is a speculative design project exploring the future of seed vaults and off-world agricultural infrastructure.
The project includes three designed mission patches representing fictitious programs, research teams, and initiatives associated with the archive. Intended to be worn on astronauts’ suits, these patches are meant to be a believable visual identity for a future lunar ecosystem preservation effort.
